The 2016 Auburn (Alabama) Pagan Pride Day (PPD) was held Sunday, September 18, 10am - 7:00 pm Central time, at the Davis Arboretum on the Auburn University. Hosted by Church of the Spiral Tree, PPD is always an all-day event, open to everyone, children included, and is free to attend. The non-perishable food items that were collected were donated to the East Alabama Food Bank, in the name of Church of the Spiral Tree.

Dowsing - by Linda
Learn about dowsing, or "water witchin'," as it's been called. We will start with
pendulums, and move to "L-rods" to dowse around the Arboretum. Bring a pendulum if
you have one; dowsing rods will be provided.

Introduction to Sigils: Big Magic From a Few Little Squiggles - by Eileen
Sigils are a deceptively simple magical technology that can be used regardless of belief
system, and incorporated into your existing practice. Come learn how to use these easy
techniques in your favor.

Sandwich (choice of meat & cheese or PB&J), chips, cookie, and drink for $5. All proceeds go to
Church of the Spiral Tree.

Show and Tell - by skippy
Come "show" yourself and "tell" us about your path, experiences, and any other bits of
personal information you might want to share with the community. This will be an
informal discussion, with attendees surrounding the moderator in a circle. So, come,
meet, and learn about your fellow pagans. Who knows, you might even make a friend or
two if you're not careful!

Tapping into Tarot - by Beth W.
Curious about divination? Join us for an introduction to basic principles of Tarot reading.
We will cover how to interpret some of the messages when tapping into the divine, to
include: the major and minor arcana, card suits, court cards, numbers, and a few easy
spreads that anyone can do. There will also be an open discussion for questions and
sharing experiences, as well as a method for finding your own soul card!

this class we'll go back to basics by discussing the fundamentals of ritual writing and
ritual praxis. We'll learn about altar set-up, calling the corners, dedication, and a variety
of other topics.

We make everything by hand with healthy and holistic ingredients. We have pre-ritual salt soaks, goddess milk baths, purification bath fizzies, and many other awesome goodies. For cleaning, we have a several useful products, including scented and unscented laundry detergent, a delicious autumn harvest sink scrub, and (our favorite) an herbal automatic dish detergent that can remove even the toughest stuck-on energy (or grease and tomato stains!). Church of the Spiral Tree - CST, the sponsor of Auburn Pagan Pride Day, is a legally incorporated, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) religious organization, since 1997, based out of Auburn, Alabama. We are a non-profit, volunteer-staffed, ecumenical, LGBTQ-friendly, Pagan church, designed to foster and celebrate a sense of community and family among pagans, both locally and in other regions of the country/world. Yearly memberships for individuals and families begin at $20/year. We offer regular sabbat rituals, monthly Meetups for dinner and fellowship, and other activities to bring together Pagans from all over.

Dragon Hills Retreat - Located on the western side of Georgia, Dragon Hills Retreat is privately owned and features 30 acres of secluded woods and rolling hills. Dragon Hills Retreat is a great place to host your event. It offers many facilities including cabins for rent, RV electric hookups, primitive tent camping, and ample parking. There is an outside stage with electric and plenty of room for vendors. There is a large fire pit great for a bon fire, drumming, and dancing around. Wal-Mart and hotels are only 13 miles down the road. Dragon Hills Retreat is able to host many different types of events no matter how large or small.
